Session 3: C is for Cloud. Explaining Tech Terms in Everyday language and stories.

Ever felt overwhelmed by technology? Unsure how to stay safe online, manage your digital life, or just keep up with the basics? You’re not alone.

Kevin O’Flaherty, also known as “The Everyday Technologist”, is a South Hobart local passionate about helping people feel confident and in control of everyday tech. He is running a series of free community sessions at the South Hobart Community Centre 42 D’Arcy Street.

Each session will focus on a specific topic, and will include a short presentation followed by a friendly Q&A. These are not tech support drop-ins, but guided sessions designed to help you build digital confidence.

Kevin has worked in the IT industry for over 30 years, including in the UK and his native Ireland. He’s a former IT Manager in the Tasmanian Government and UTAS, and currently the Account Manager for Microsoft in Tasmania.

You will need to register on-line. The Centre can only hold up to 30 people, so it will be first in, best dressed. There is no Wi-Fi at the Centre. Bring along your laptop, iPhone or iPad and learn while having fun. For further information and to register please email @email
